Introduction to Graphics Math
The fundamental mathematical structures used in graphics programming are the vector and the matrix. In this introduction, we’ll go over fundamental vector and matrix operations and how they apply to graphics programming. Topics will be introduced with visual, interactive demos implemented in WebGL and will take you through 2D vector operations up through 3D matrix transformations.
Taught by John Allwine, a software developer with a strong interest in graphics programming. John was a visual effects artist at Dreamworks Animation for three years before he moved on so he could move to Bozeman and dabble in app development and 3D printing for his startup, Freakin’ Sweet Apps.
